Filing statutory documents:
When you run your own business there are certain documents that have to be filed with the Companies Registry. A sole trader will have to register the business name under which they wish to trade (unless they trade under their own real name) and must also file an annual declaration that they are still trading, more details can be found on the Companies Registry website here.
A limited company is obliged to file much more documentation, basically every time something changes within your company whether it is a change in director, obtaining a mortgage or changing the structure of shareholdings then there is a document to file with the Registry. More information can be found on the Companies Registry website here.
