About Sigma Accounting:
Sigma Accounting is owned and run by Ian Gribble; a Chartered Accountant with over
ten years experience in both practice and in
dustry. Ian’s experience ranges from
providing basic bookkeeping and accounts preparation services for sole traders, to
audit and complex financial modelling for publicly quoted companies with multi million
pound balance sheets.
Immediately prior to setting up Sigma Accounting Ian was the Finance Director of an Isle of Man company quoted on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market.
Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant with BDO, the world’s fifth largest network of public accounting firms, and has lived on the Isle of Man for over 20 years. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant worked as a design and development engineer for several years.
Sigma Accounting is a member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Details of the Institute’s membership requirements and quality standards can be found by clicking this link; ICAEW, but in a nutshell, ICAEW Chartered Accountants;
- Have completed a minimum of three years’ in-
depth training , including practical experience. - Are members of ICAEW – The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
- Are committed to continuing professional development training every year to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.
- Are bound by ICAEW’s Code of Ethics.
- Are subject to ICAEW’s disciplinary procedures.
- Are required to hold a Practising Certificate and Professional Indemnity Insurance if they offer professional services to the public.
- Are part of ICAEW’s Practice Assurance scheme, which demonstrates their commitment to quality assurance, and upholding and developing the highest professional standards.
