Accounting:
Accounting is the process of communicating summarised financial information about your business. Unlike in the UK, most companies in the Isle of Man are not required to file accounts with the Companies Registry, however it is a requirement of the Companies Acts that statutory accounts are prepared and laid before the shareholders.
Accounts or Financial Statements can be either:
o Management accounts; used by the people running the business to keep track of how the business is going and to support decisions about the future. Usually prepared every month or every quarter.
o Statutory accounts; used to support the computation and submission of tax returns and to ensure compliance with legislation. Usually prepared for a 12 month ‘accounting period’.
Sigma Accounting can enable you to spend more time concentrating on running your business, and provide the peace of mind that your accounts and returns are being taken care of professionally.
